A native of Germany, Heidi came to Taos by way of Switzerland, Vermont and North Carolina.
      Since earliest memory she has been drawn to painting.  Inspired by the Impressionists she started studying and painting in her early twenties.  She continued painting throughout her careers as chef, business owner and Realtor.
     She feels lucky to have met wonderful artists and great teachers along the way. Grandma Moses's late start as artist motivated her not to stop.  Finally she is able to spend more time 'en plein-air' and in her studio on Upper Ranchitos Road.
